Defibrillator Fundraiser Morning Recap

On Saturday 10th May 2025 we ran a 'fitness fundraising morning', to raise money for an external defibrillator to be installed on the front of the gym.

This bit of life saving kit will be accessible 24/7 to anyone in need in the immediate area, and our gym is located right at the entrance to Bradmarsh Business Park.

We have been working with Start-A-Heart 24:7, who are providing the defibrillator and cabinet - They have provided over 150 within Rotherham alone, and a further 50 in other areas of South Yorkshire!

We had 4 x 45-min sessions running back to back, on the hour from 9am - 12:45pm; upper body, lower body, conditioning and a full body session.

... All sold out ahead of the day!

Alongside the sessions, we had Jack and Emma at Tailgate Coffee providing the refreshments from their mobile trailer - their Dirty Chai was a crowd favourite, and the newly released Pistachio & White Chocolate cookie 😍

Diane from Parker's Real Bread brought ALL of her baked sourdough goods, including different flavoured freshly baked loaves, cookies, muffins and focaccia samples for everyone to try. We place a gym order every week, as her bread is simply incredible!

My lovely mother, Sandra, was running the raffle table all morning - which offered prizes from different local businesses, and raised £160!

The sessions were tough, and we had members, new, old and even friends of friends getting stuck in, or just dropping in to hang out and show support... check out our Instagram post for the full highlight video!

Our initial target was to raise £1,000 to cover the cost of the equipment needed, and it's safe to safe we smashed that a few days before the actual event...

Total funds raised from family and friends was £1,605

Thank you again to every single person that supported the event and donated towards installing this essential kit down here - I couldn't be more grateful, and it was truly one of my proudest days ever.

I'm already planning another (bigger) event for next year and a great cause!
