Christmas Week is upon us and let's be honest, the usual weekly routine is about to go out of the window...
And for good reason!
Its a time of the year where we can finally slow down, recharge and spend it with our loved ones, and for the most part, without time restrictions.
Here are two common sense tips that can be easily overlooked in the thick of it, that will help keep you from kamikaze-ing your physical and mental progress over the next week...
Get Out and Walk
Take a break from the sofa and get your legs moving, it not only helps battle the Christmas calories, but helps mobilise and stretch the stiff joints.
Plan meet-ups outdoors; local parks, reservoirs, woods...
There's no better natural mood booster than being outdoors in the fresh air.
Enjoy Treats, But Don't Make Them Your Diet
It goes without saying that if you eat crap, you'll feel crap!
No doubt you'll have gifted selection boxes stacked high in the kitchen, open for grazing every time you walk by... we all do it!
Keep them out of sight and keep them to a limited window in the day.
Try and get back to your normal eating routine as soon as you can.
Do mini-shops for a couple days worth of meals, between planned meals out etc
Your body and mind will thank you at the start of January!
🎅🏻 I hope you make the most of your Christmas with loved ones, guilt-free! We've all worked hard this year and there's no better time to get your feet up and recharge your batteries, ready for another busy year...
🍫 Keep moving between sofa sessions, get some nice walks arranged and the Celebration tin away in the cupboard during the day.
